The leaves are borne in opposite pairs or whorls of 3–4, each leaf blue-green, oval, 6–11 cm long and 3–5.5 cm broad. The flowers are produced in clusters on the stems. The fruit is a small, bright, orange, thin-skinned berry 1–4 cm diameter, with one single large seed; the small yield of edible fruit is pleasantly sweet, yet acidic, but also containing a latex that some people find unpleasant.","gbif_id":3189564,"image_thumbnail":"https://treescape.app/media/plant_species/images/thumbnails/garcinia-livingstonei_thumbnail_keniQWl.jpg","image_large":"https://treescape.app/media/plant_species/images/large/garcinia-livingstonei_thumbnail_nfZ4Sm9.jpg","properties":{"height_maximum":"18.00","height_confidence":"0.9","height_source":"https://treescape.app/api/sources/738/?format=json","width_minimum":"3.00","width_typical":"5.00","width_maximum":"7.00","width_confidence":"0.8","width_source":"https://treescape.app/api/sources/738/?format=json","soil_acidity_minimum":null,"soil_acidity_typical":null,"soil_acidity_maximum":null,"soil_acidity_confidence":null,"soil_acidity_source":null,"climate_zones":[],"growth_habits":["https://treescape.app/api/growthhabits/tree/?format=json"],"human_uses":["https://treescape.app/api/humanuses/edible-fruits/?format=json","https://treescape.app/api/humanuses/ornamental-foliage/?format=json"],"ecological_roles":[],"soil_preferences":[],"propagation_methods":[]}}
